If you're running a blind-box ad, given the state of today's newspaper world, isn't that itself a big old red flag? It is to me, and I'm guessing it's for my old stomping grounds in Central Texas. Even if not, I wouldn't do it. I don't do blind box ads outside the papers biz; I sure as hell wouldn't do it inside.
I also notice that David Lewis still hasn't sold Pilot Point and is still listed his own self as editor as well as publisher.
I also see the Seguin paper is at five days a week. When did that cut from six, and wasn't it once seven?
My take on the mainstream media, especially the newspaper biz. As a former long-term Dallas Metroplex resident, this is often focused on the sometimes good, and the often not-so-good (compared either to what it could be or what it used to be) of A.H. Belo's primary publication, The Dallas Morning News.

The Dallas Morning News nears Gomorrah
It's whacked another 40-plus people as ad sales continue to slip. (A 7.5 percent adhole on Christmas Eve, per my tracking of them, is horrendous.)
That's not the worst.
Giving 40 top execs $1.2 million in bonuses for a good financial management job achieved in part by whacking people?
THAT is the worst.
